Freedom and the Text
Freedom for the text is the fact that any document can be
linked to any other document. The text is not limited by the physical entity
of the printed book. I argue in this work that the entirety of the Web is one large text consisting of millions of documents. A text can be a single document, as well as a collection of linked documents. Therefore, each set of linked documents, or even the temporary texts created during a Web session, forms a subset of the text. Therefore, the text is free to form in many different ways rather than sticking to one form for eternity.
