Endings
Readers rather than authors determine the end of a hypertext because temporary texts are solely reader constructs. Certainly authors can end their hypertexts, but readers on the Web always have the option of continuing to different works by other authors. Endings on the Web correspond to the end of the Web session, the point at which readers decide they have enough information to suit their purpose.
