Preventing Divergence

"A link of associations typically diverges in meaning and focus. Imagine a conversation where you wander from one related topic to another. 5 related topics later you are talking about something *completely* different than what you started with. This is analogical to being 5 nodes off the original text. Everyone who has wandered in the Web knows that 5 nodes away may be way off topic. The conclusion is clear: we wish to prevent divergence" (Onar Am Cyberspace and the Structure of Knowledge ).

My Response

Use the "Back in Frame" command in a frames compatible browser (or the "Back" button in a non-frames compatible browser) to return to the previous node.
